Hope is the Theme
Hope is the theme of LP Gas Magazine’s December 2025 Propane Personality interview with Westlark team member and President, JD Buss. The piece includes a look at Buss’ background and experience in oil and natural gas before he landed in the propane industry in 2008 with energy adviser Twin Feathers.
The “message of hope” continues with a look at some of the major changes that have occurred during his time with Twin Feathers, including his purchase of the company in 2021 and the rebrand of the company to Westlark Advisors earlier this year.
Meeting Challenges with Hope
The name, Westlark Advisors, is based on the western meadowlark, the state bird of Kansas. Though based in Overland Park, Kansas, Westlark is expanding their focus beyond North American borders. According to Buss, the meadowlark is, “ …a message of hope. There are challenges out there, but we want to bring a hopeful look on how to meet those challenges.”
The piece includes some of Westlark’s trademark expert commentary looking ahead to the coming winter and 2026. It also mentions Westlark’s commitment to helping clients come up with non-traditional solutions to issues surrounding climate change.
