This year our nation is celebrating a big anniversary – the semiquincentennial – or 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence! What does that mean? How can we celebrate? Memorial Day signals the start of BBQ’s, pool parties and summer fun in America, but it is also a serious holiday, honoring those who died while serving our country in the military. We believe that one way to honor those who died while serving our country, is to make a point of remembering them – especially on Memorial Day!
